Mushrooms are defining the future of mental healthcare.

And our team has created national momentum to make them accessible for educated, reverent use by partnering with 10 communities across three states to officially embrace their benefits.

Five years ago our team, Bay Staters for Creative Well-Being, passed a measure with the Somerville City Council that recognized the documented benefits that psilocybin use can have for depression, anxiety, addiction to alcohol and opiates, as well as for neurological diseases like cluster headaches.

At this event, open to all in the community near and in Watertown, we welcome you to join us for light refreshments, a short class by our team, conversations with neighbors, and education on how all mushrooms are grown (an extremely fascinating and surprisingly easy hobby).

Beginning at 2pm, our attendees will be welcomed to mix and mingle with fellow mushroom fans of all ages, experiences, and backgrounds over healthful, tasty refreshments. From 2:30 to 3:30, our founder will give a collaborative presentation on the fascinating world of fungi.

At about 3:30, attendees are welcome to continue conversations with new friends and/or join a mini-presentation on how to grow mushrooms of all kinds, using imply and easy to use grow kits that are available to take home (donations welcome!)

Bring a friend or two and please reserve your spot here to let us know you're joining and to sign up for notification of similar events near you in the future.

You are welcome to give a donation if you would like for our art, stickers, grow kits, spores, and support for our programs like nature walks and mentorship.

We are locking in the address of the venue (just confirming with the partner), so we ask that you please reserve your spot here so we can share the address with you when it is released and so that you can learn about future events as well.

Please feel free to join anytime and depart anytime as it useful for you. We generally ask that people not arrive too early, say before 1:50pm, because we want to have everything prepared for you and focus on that :)
