Mushrooms have permanently changed the field of mental healthcare
Our nonprofit has partnered with eight communities in Massachusetts, including neighboring Cambridge, Somerville, Medford, and Watertown, to officially end arrests for growing and sharing these medicines as we host community events to educate.
Now Arlington may be considering recognizing this robust science and history of healing as well. At Arlington Mushroom Fest, we welcome you to join us to socialize, learn about psychedelic medicines, and enjoy education on how the field of mycology (the study of mushrooms) is revolutionizing health beyond the psychedelic variety as well.
We will also be mentoring attendees in how to legally grow mushroom, offering easy-to-use kits for donations to support our community work and events like this.
Beginning at 2pm, our attendees will be welcomed to mix and mingle with fellow mushroom fans of all ages, experiences, and backgrounds over healthful, tasty refreshments. From 2:30 to 3:30, our founder will give a collaborative presentation on the fascinating world of fungi. We will be joined by a surprise guest to educate on the healing herbs and botony as well.
At about 3:30, attendees are welcome to continue conversations with new friends and/or join a mini-presentation on how to grow mushrooms of all kinds, using imply and easy to use grow kits that are available to take home (donations welcome!)
Bring a friend or two and please reserve your spot here to let us know you're joining and to sign up for notifications of similar events near you in the future.
You are welcome to give a donation if you would like for our art, stickers, grow kits, spores, and support for our programs like nature walks and mentorship.
Please feel free to join anytime and depart anytime as it useful for you. We generally ask that people not arrive too early, say before 1:50pm, because we want to have everything prepared for you and focus on that :)
